Club History

In November 2007 Thames Albion FC was formed, the world of football would never be the same again! The 19 individuals who formed the club felt It was important that we created our own brand of football, and began our challenge to move up the rankings knowing only we were responsible for what would happen. The name Thames Albion was created using our main sponsors name Thames Bookmakers and the word Albion which we just all agreed sounded damn good. As all of the clubs players and committee are good friends, we adopted the Latin saying "uno nos es Validu" which translates as "In one we are mighty". We already have a wealth of foreign superstars, Israeli, Indian, Bosnian, Czech and Greek, who will bring a mixture of continental swagger and flair to the Mercury Waltham League. Thames Albion F.C competed in it's first competitive season in 2008/2009. The team achiveved a 3rd place finish in the 3rd division of the Mercury Waltham League, gaining promotion to Division 2 for the 2009/2010 season.
