The signing of Mark Dicker was seen as somewhat of a coup for this great club. Mark has the experience of having played in championship winning teams for the formally known Spenny Town. Mark was always the team’s top goalscorer, and after losing our most natural finisher in Scott, he needed to be replaced with a man with pedigree. So why did I sign Mark I hear you cry, I really don’t know! Not only does he look like Ricky Tomlinson but he is the only player in the squad who needs extra large shorts! Have I acquired a podgy striker? All jokes aside this is no gamble, we wish he could play every week and I think he does to, but every other will do. He showed his eye for goal with 2 goals in his 2 pre season appearances, and his movement off the ball is excellent. I look forward to seeing how he fits in over the course of the season, but he is quite clearly already one of the lads, ay Ricky!
