Michael Kavanagh

Michael, or Kav as he has soon become known to team mates, was the first person I looked upon to bring to Albion after the departure of Youthed and Biff at the end of last season. Kav went to school with a lot of the lads and was part of the famous John Warner County Cup winning team along with Howard, Rich, Jones & Banting. Kav has shown in pre season that he brings a massive presence to our defence and the partnership of him and Tom is quite exciting and is developing well. He is hard in the tackle, strong in the air and has already been used as an alternative striker when we have been chasing games in pre season. Similarities to Tom would include some possible donkey like tackling, picking up a yellow card in his first game for a last challenge, but timing will come with match practice after spending 5 years away from the game. Kav is yet to be picked on for any body deformities as most players are, but he does have one hell of a meat head and I am sure some sort of look alike will follow shortly!
